College Event Entertainment Testimonial- Eastfield College

“To Whom It May Concern:

We had the opportunity and pleasure of having Jeff Civillico perform here at Eastfield College for Conference Day, March 4, 2010. It is seldom the college brings outside entertainment but the committee viewed Jeff’s website and all agreed to invite him. On the day of Jeff’s performance the morning sessions to faculty and staff were packed with lecture so ending the morning with entertainment on a light note was our goal. We were pleasantly surprised at the positive responses. These are a few of the comments that were made from our survey to faculty and staff about the day.
“The overall Conference Day was wonderful. The entertainment was very enjoyable.”

“Jeff Civillico and Dr. Sandy Shugart were AWESOME.”

“I thought the juggler (Jeff) was great entertainment. He made me laugh and laugh.”

“The entertainment, Jeff on campus, was adorable.”

There isn’t enough laughter in a days work and studies continue to support how important it is. Thanks to Jeff for providing this to our faculty & staff. He is so funny and talented.

Please feel free to contact me at any time, I would welcome the opportunity to answer any questions regarding his talent and skills.”

Charity Event Entertainment Testimonial- Opportunity Village

“Opportunity Village was introduced to Jeff Civillico late in 2009 when he volunteered his time at two of our largest annual fundraising events, the Magical Forest and the Las Vegas Great Santa Run.

We were blown away by Jeff’s performances, and both audiences were left asking for more.  That is the best compliment a performer can get. By donating his time, Jeff ensured that the money we raised goes directly to the 1,600 men and women with severe intellectual disabilities that Opportunity Village serves on a daily basis.

The Magical Forest is a 3-acre winter wonderland that sees 150,000 guests each year, and Jeff made great use of our limited resources to put on an amazing show.

The Las Vegas Great Santa Run is Opportunity Village’s annual attempt to set the world record for largest gathering of Santas. Jeff’s performance in front of just under 9,000 Santas was a fabulous way to kick off our most successful Great Santa Run to date, and I know the volunteers that he called to the stage have plenty of stories to tell!

Opportunity Village is grateful to Jeff for donating his valuable time to ensure that our events are as entertaining and successful as possible. We just wish we had more events where we could incorporate his amazing talents!”

Gratefully yours,

Stephen Miller
Special Events Manager

“Life Lessons From Juggling” by Jeff Civillico

I am a professional entertainer. I market and perform a one-man physical stunt show I call Comedy in Action, based on my childhood passion of juggling. Juggling!  Pretty random, right?  When you see the word “juggling” you probably think of clowns and circuses.  I tell a joke in my show—“I didn’t want to embarrass my parents by telling them I’m a professional juggler…they think I’m in jail.”

My point is that juggling is not a skill you would normally consider to be of any practical value for “the real world.”  Not so.  In this article I am putting aside the fact that juggling has given me an amazingly fulfilling career traveling the world as a performer.  Here I am focusing on the skill purely as a tool for personal development.

Juggling very quickly gave me real practical knowledge of 3 life skills: overcoming fear, setting goals, and maintaining focus.

1) Overcoming Fear: If you’re reading this, there is a very good chance you do NOT know how to juggle.  There is also a very good chance you do not think you ever COULD learn how to juggle.  Most people are afraid to try something as unusual as juggling.  Maybe they don’t want to look foolish in front of others.  Maybe they just aren’t comfortable with the awkwardness that naturally exists with any new skill.  Anytime you learn something new it feels awkward.  Remember trying to ride a bike as a kid?  Or learning to drive?  As a professional juggler, I am constantly learning new skills, constantly trying to stretch myself and make my body create what my mind can visualize.  I am very seldom afraid to try new things anymore because I am used to the inevitable learning curve.  I understand it is merely part of the process of development and stretching oneself further.  I am comfortable feeling out of my comfort zone.  I am comfortable “dropping the ball,” picking up, and trying again.  I have felt this confidence spill over into all areas of my life.

Church Event Entertainment Testimonial- Pillar of Light Commonwealth

Dear Jeff,

Thank you so much for acting as Master of Ceremonies and entertaining our group with your clean jokes and amazing juggling talent. We appreciate your support. You added energy and lots of fun to our special event. The youth LOVED meeting you! They think you are the COOLEST comedian they know.

When I asked them what they liked the most… the answer was juggling the knife. Way to go! Juggling the five (or nine white balls) was a close second.

We wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing you again!

With Warm Regards,
Antoinette and the Pillar of Light Youth

College Event Entertainment Testimonial- Elms College

“Dear Tim,

Just a short note to say what a pleasure it was to have Jeff Civillico on the Elms College campus on Thursday February 18, 2010. The show went great. We had a large number of students and staff and many of them came up to me after the show to say what a treat it was to have this program.

Jeff came early to look at the space and get ready. He was professional and very easy to work with. In fact an audience member mentioned that the show went without a hitch from start to finish. One of the best parts of the show was the audience participation. Jeff had some of our basketball players helping him on the stage as well as an 8 year old girl who had come to see the show with her mother.

So again, thanks for sending Jeff to us… he was great!

Thank you”

College Event Entertainment Testimonial- Central Connecticut State University

“Dear Jeff,

Thank you so much for being a part of the Central Activities Network Super Weekend
this February. As a largely commuter campus, weekend programming has been an
important initiative for the program board. With your program, Super Weekend provided
entertainment for a good number of both commuter and resident students.

Your show was fantastic and our students were extremely impressed. The amount of
audience participation that you incorporate into your performance makes the experience
personal for students and their friends. Both the student on stage and their friends were
seriously engaged by your comedy and stunts.

As an administrator and part of the team producing the show, you were incredibly easy to
work with. Your easygoing attitude and strong desire to entertain made you an absolute
pleasure to work with. The Central Activities Network is so glad to have brought you to
campus this semester. Thanks for putting on such a great show!

Sincerely,”

Elizabeth Mongrello, on behalf of
