Jeff Civillico hosts a weekly entertainment / news TV show that is taped in front of a live audience at The LINQ Promenade fountain stage Thursday nights from 9-11pm. The show currently airs weekends on Channel 13, the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, and throughout the city in various hotel rooms and taxis.
Backline is a music TV show produced by ARTTEC, a 501(c)3 nonprofit educational organization that provides career training to high school students while offering exciting events to the community. Backline is 100% produced by ARTTEC high school students in Clark County School District.
The show, which will be released later this Fall, has been in production in California and has had guest appearances from some great celebrity musicians including Blues Traveler, Christopher Cross, Better Than Ezra, Smash Mouth, Eddie Money, The Tubes, and CCR. Backline has found a great new home at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas. The very first episode in Vegas was filmed recently with the Founding Members of Third Eye Blind, Kevin Cadogan and Arion Salazar.
Backline is a 60 minute music television series, with each episode focusing on a musical guest who comes in the Backline studio to play a few songs and share their stories from the road, recordings, the band history, etc. Unlike other music shows, Backline is produced by a unique partnership between ARTTEC Students and industry professionals from film and television backgrounds. Born from this partnership is a program that is just as unique, offering viewers a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes world of our featured musicians.
The conversational aspects of the show are just as significant as the music, because our viewers want to “connect” with their favorite artists beyond the music. ARTTEC Student take the helm of all the key positions, with specialized hands-on learning opportunities presented to them by industry and celebrity mentors. Students get experience in all areas from lights, audio, camera, and producing and everything in between.
